Braise-and-Crisp Shredding
A two-stage cooking method where meat is simmered until tender, pulled apart into strands, and flash-fried to create crisp contrast.
Instructions
Step 1: Combine beef chuck cubes, minced garlic, grated ginger, ground turmeric, sea salt, and water in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat.
Step 2: Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover tightly with a lid, and simmer gently for 40 minutes until beef is completely tender.
Step 3: Remove cover and turn heat to medium-high to boil off remaining liquid completely.
